The Ivy on Rose's purpose is to create a nurturing environment. We proudly cater to the physical and emotional needs of each resident by offering the highest level of personal attention.
As a state-licensed retirement home for ambulatory and non-ambulatory seniors, we offer quality and caring you can trust around the clock.
Our total capacity is just 11 residents, which enables us to give personal attention by our dedicated staff.
~ We are located four blocks from the beach in Venice, California. With ocean breezes from our private and enclosed patios, several of our rooms offer the pleasures of indoor and outdoor living. Private parking is available in the back.
Our front room is a quiet music parlor, with a piano and charming antiques. The heart of the home is our dining room and den-library area located near the family-style kitchen. All of our bedrooms are carefully furnished with comfortable beds, chairs, and cozy antiques. However, we welcome and respect the style and possessions one may wish to bring along.
Meals, nutritionally balanced and geared towards the needs of our clientele, are served in our charming dining room. Tray service is available.
Daily laundry service is provided for our resident's clothing.
Daily maid service is provided for each resident's room.
Each resident has their own potential for independence. With awareness to each individuals need for dignity and self-respect, yet understanding limitations, our staff are ready to provide personal assistance with all the activities of daily living. This would include bathing, dressing, personal grooming, dining, social activities and medication management.
We offer residents a full range of health support services. In addition to providing a clean and healthful home, our staff is available 24 hours a day to address health concerns promptly and effectively.
~ Daily assisted care is provided by 24hour attendants who are trained in first aid and resident care.
~ In serious medical situations, attendants are prepared to contact 911 paramedics, the resident's family and personal physician.
A 24 -hour on-call doctor can be provided should the resident's regular physician be unavailable.
Bedside care for temporary illness.
~ All medication at the Ivy on Rose is centrally stored and dispensed by a specified attendant in strict accordance with each physician's orders.
~ Ivy on Rose also maintains a complete medication record, the medication name, the strength and quantity, instructions for administering and other essentials.
~ Staff CNA's are on-call 24 hours-a-day, 7 days a week.
~ Private phones can be installed in the resident's room.
Cable television hook-ups can be made available in each room.
Planning and arranging transportation to and from medical and dental appointments or other outside activities.
